1. Information We Collect

IB Mock ("the Site" or "Service") collects the following information:

  • Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address. We store additional information on your account as needed for the Service's functionality.
  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to evaluate your use of the Site. This may include IP addresses, Internet service provider, browser type, operating system and language, referring/exit pages, date/time stamps, time spent on pages, links clicked, and other usage data. For more details, review How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
  • Additional Analytics: We may use various analytics tools (including but not limited to FullStory and PostHog) to capture user interactions and analyze how users engage with the Site. These tools may collect information such as clicks, page visits, session duration, and interactions with elements on the Site. This data helps us identify usability issues and improve our services.
  • Voice Technology (ElevenLabs): We use ElevenLabs to power IB Mock's voice functionality. ElevenLabs stores recordings of your interviews, transcripts, and other metadata associated with your sessions. These recordings are made available to you via IB Mock.
  • Payment Information: Payments are processed through Stripe, which stores details about your checkout sessions and payment history. We do not store any card information on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

Broadly, we use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain the Service and its features.
  • Process payments, manage subscriptions, and deliver services.
  • Analyze user behavior to improve the Service's performance and user experience.
  • Communicate with you regarding account updates or support inquiries.

3. Data Privacy

By default, your interview data (including recordings, transcripts, and evaluations) is private and not accessible to other users on the platform. However, if you choose to make a historical interview public in your settings, it will be accessible by anyone with the link.

Separately, you may choose to submit one of your interviews to our community showcase. If your submission is accepted, your interview recording, transcript, evaluation, and username will become publicly visible on the showcase, and control over that interview’s visibility will transfer to us. Participation in the showcase is voluntary and operates on an opt-in basis.

Lastly, authorized members of the IB Mock team may access interview data (including recordings, transcripts, and evaluations) to analyze conversation quality, improve product performance, enhance AI evaluation accuracy, and ensure the Service is functioning properly. Such access is limited, monitored, and used solely for legitimate operational and improvement purposes.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. However, we may share your information under the following circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We engage third-party providers such as Stripe, Google Analytics, ElevenLabs, and other analytics providers to facilitate payments, analytics, and voice technology services. These parties are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide these services to us.
  • Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information if required by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights or property, or defend against legal claims.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard measures to safeguard your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. You acknowledge and agree that we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.

6. Data Retention

We will retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. We may also retain your information to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

7. Third-Party Links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of any linked sites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of any website you visit.

8. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately at support@ibvine.io.

9. Data Subject Rights

If you reside in a region that grants specific data protection rights (such as the European Economic Area or California), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to restrict or object to the processing of your personal information. To make such a request, please email support@ibvine.io.

10. Account Deletion

If you would like to delete your IB Mock account, please contact support@ibvine.io. We will delete your account from IB Mock's database and may retain a copy of your email address and account deletion for record keeping purposes. Interview recordings and transcripts are not deleted since they are stored by our service providers (specifically, ElevenLabs).

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting the updated policy on the Site. Your continued use of the Service after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes.
