To keep IB Mock sustainable and continue offering the product, we're sunsetting the broad-based free trial and replacing it with IB Vine membership credits and a discounted intro offer for new users.
We launched IB Mock 4 months ago with a simple goal: give investment banking candidates the most realistic mock interview experience possible. Since then, we've distributed tens of thousands of free interview minutes through our free trial program and numerous giveaways to invest in early growth, gather feedback, and help students prepare for recruiting season — subsidizing all associated costs of the product.
That investment has paid off. We've now crossed 50,000 interview minutes completed on the platform, helping students gain confidence in their delivery and land their dream offers.
Looking ahead, to keep IB Mock sustainable and continue offering the product, we're making some important changes to our free trial program.
We're sunsetting the broad-based free trial program and replacing it with two new benefits:
1. IB Vine Pro & Diamond Membership Credits
These credits are automatically granted when you sign in with an account linked to an active IB Vine Pro or Diamond membership. Credits are one-time per membership tier.*
2. 60% Off Intro Offer for New Users
* IB Vine membership credits and the intro offer cannot be combined. Each user is limited to one new user benefit. See our Terms of Service for full details.
IB Mock is one of the few AI mock interview products that offers true, real-time voice-to-voice interviews. Most other AI interview prep tools are text-based or require users to tap and hold to speak, which doesn't reflect the pace or pressure of real interviews. True voice-to-voice streaming is significantly harder to build and scale, and is materially more expensive to serve—which is why very few products in the space attempt to offer it.
We believe this realism is essential for practicing how you actually think, speak, and respond under interview pressure, and we're committed to continuing to offer it. But sustaining a broad-based free trial program alongside the high costs of real-time voice inference is simply not viable long-term. To continue offering IB Mock, we're transitioning to a model that's more sustainable while still making the product accessible to new users.
If you already received free trial credits, nothing changes for you. Your existing credits will remain on their current schedule. This change only affects new accounts going forward.
